8 Monate Baby sein / Being a baby 8 months

Lieblingsbeschäftigung: Stehen und gehen – immer noch. Auch immer noch an der Hand, alleine zieht er sich hoch, aber alles am liebsten an der Hand.
Favourite activity: Standing up and walking – still. Only holding our hands, he stands up alone, but walks only on our hands.
Das mag ich gar nicht: Hingelegt werden zum wickeln. Liegen ist was für Babies 😉
I don’t like: Being laid down to change. Lying is for babies 😉
Was ich diesen Monat gelernt habe: Seitsitz, Rocking (im Vierfüßlerstand hin und her wippen), aus dem Vierfüßlerstand die Beine und den Popo nach oben strecken, mich in den Stand hochziehen
What I learned this month: sitting on my side, rocking, putting my butt up in the air from a quadruped position, lifting up to standing
Meine liebsten Spielsachen: Klopfbrett aus Budapest, Metalldeckel, Mamas Backpinsel (Danke für den Tipp unter diesem Post!), Bauklötze
My favorite toys: a wooden knocking board (where you knock things with a little hammer), metal lids, mums pastry brush (thanks for the tipp under this post!!), toy blocks
Was ich diesen Monat unternommen habe: Exit the room, Schwimmen, Brunchen, Urlaub in Budapest, viele Mami-Baby-Treffen
What I did this month: Exit the room, swimming, brunch, vacation in budapest, lots of mum-baby-playdates
Zähne: 2 (die unteren Vorderzähne) – die beiden oberen sind gut zu sehen, aber noch nicht durchgebrochen.
Teeth: 2 (the lower front teeth) – the upper ones are on their way, but not through the flesh yet
Töpfchentraining: Ja, das Thema haben wir schon! Dank Sabrina habe ich Ende des 7 Monats ein Töpfchen gekauft (dieses hier, kein Affiliate Link, einfach nur zur Info, weil ich weiß, dass Fragen kommen) und wollte ihn einfach daran gewöhnen. Gleich beim ersten Mal draufsetzen hat er reingemacht und seitdem macht er das zu 99%, sowohl Harn als auch Stuhl. Und: er fordert es ein! In Budapest hatten wir das Töpfchen nicht mit, immerhin ist er erst 8 Monate alt, da muss man noch nicht sauber werden. Er hat aber in der Früh dann so komisch gedrückt aber nie in die Windel gemacht, da haben wir ihn einfach probehalber übers WC gehalten und keine halbe Minute später war die Sache erledigt. Seitdem verwenden wir daheim schon den Aufsatz fürs große WC, das spart uns das Töpfchen ausleeren. Und wir setzen ihn jeden Tag in der Früh darauf, das klappt immer, und unter Tags wenn er anzeigt dass er muss (er drückt dann so wie wenn er machen würde und grinst uns an, sehr süß ;-)). Auch unterwegs macht er das, er war unter anderem auch schon auf einem Zugklo. Ich bin seeeehr überrascht, dass das so gut funktioniert, hätte ich nicht gedacht oder forciert. Schauen wir mal, wie das so weitergeht!
Potty training: Yes, you read that right! Thanks to Sabrina I bought a potty at the end of the 7 month (this one, no affiliate link, just information) to get him used to it. The first time I sat him on it he did poo and since then he did it about 99% (pee and poo). And: he claims it! We didn’t take the potty to Budapest, he’s only 8 months, he doesn’t have to use it, or so we thought. But he made this funny pressing thing and looked at us with a big smile, but didn’t poo in the diaper. So we tried holding him over the toilet and about half a minute later everything was done. Since then we use the fixture for the big toilet, to save emptying the potty. We put him on it every day in the morning, which works very good. And during the day when he shows us that he has to go (he is pressing and smiling, its very cute). He also does it when we are out and about, so he already had to go on a toilet in a train etc. I am still surprised that it works this soon, I wouldn’t have believed it if you would have told me 2 months ago. We’ll see how it continues!!
8 Monate Eltern sein / Being parents for 8 months
Neue Erkenntnisse: Urlaub mit Baby ist auch beim zweiten Mal super, kann man wieder machen! 😉
New insights: Vacation with a baby is great, we can do that again any time 😉
Dafür fehlt die Zeit: Zeit ganz alleine! Nur für mich! Ohne Kind, Hund, Katze und Mann. Ab und zu schaffen wirs, so alle paar Wochen mal, aber ich muss noch daran arbeiten das öfter einzufordern. Tut mir einfach gut!
There’s not enough time to: time for me alone! only for me! Without baby, dog, cat or husband. I get that every couple of weeks, but I have to work on claiming it more often. Its good for me!
Glückliche Momente: Immer wenn er lacht 😉
Happy moments: Each time he is laughing 😉
Das freut die Mama: Das Fläschchen nimmt er mittlerweile immer, mit Wasser, mit Muttermilch, echt toll! Und das das Schlafen besser ist.
Mama loves:He now takes the bottle every time, with water, with breast milk, thats so great!! And sleep is better, I love that too!
Nächte/Schlaf: Letztes Mal hab ich schon geschrieben, dass ich es hoffentlich nicht verschreie. Aber anscheinend hab ich das nicht, es ist sogar noch besser geworden!! Ich stille gar nicht mehr in der Nacht, er geht zwar etwas später schlafen, so gegen 20h, schläft dann aber 10-11h durch. Manchmal stille ich dann in der Früh und wir schlafen noch 1-2h, manchmal nicht, je nachdem wie die Schläfchen unter Tags sind. Bin begeistert, kann so bleiben 😉
Nights/Sleep: Last time I wrote that I hope I don’t jinx it. And I didn’t, it even got better! Now I don’t nurse during the night. He goes to bed a bit later, about 8pm, and sleeps 10-11h at once. Then I nurse and sometimes we sleep another 1-2 hours, sometimes not, depending on how much he slept during the last day. I take it, lets keep it that way ok?! 😉
Essen: Nicht viel neues, immer noch BLW, immer noch verliebt. Ab und zu wenn wir woanders essen sind alle erstaunt wie gut er das macht und wie viel er isst. Das freut mich immer sehr!! Er hat augenscheinlich Spaß am Essen und nimmt genug zu sich, so soll es sein.
Food: Nothing new, still BLW, still in love. Sometimes when we eat with friends they are surprised how great he does it and how much he eats. I’m always beaming with pride, he has fun eating and gains weight, thats how it should be.
