Matcha-Kürbis-Mini-Muffins / Matcha-Pumpkin-Mini-Muffins

Hi!!!

You might already know that I love matcha – have you already tried the sparkling green tea cupcakes (vegan and delicious!)?

I discovered Matcha from imogti recently and got to test it. imgoti is a munich company which sells biological premium matcha tea only, with the matcha-drinking pink elephant as a mascot 😉

I learned a lot about matcha from imogti, where it comes from, why its so healthy and more. Here are my main new findings for you:

Matcha means „ground tea“ – which says already a lot about the production process: the tea leaves are shaded during the last weeks prior the harvesting and the dried tea leaves are stoneground to a fine powder. (For grinding 30g powder the mill has to work 1h – that explains the price!)
The powder is doused with 80°C hot water and the whole tea leave is consumed (as opposed to other teas)
There are catechines in matcha (antioxidants), additionally amino acids, vitamins, minerals and teein and it therefore has a whole lot of positive impacts on the body. And as you consume the whole tea leave you get all these in a higher dose than just brewing normal tea.

Wusstet ihr das alles?! Ich hab natürlich in letzter Zeit viel Matcha Latte getrunken…
Did you know all that?! So l made a lot of matcha latte lately…

Buuuut, there’s more!! Since its still „Everything pumpkin“ here on the blog I also did my favourite pumpkin-mini-muffins with matcha. Just add 1 tsp matcha to the dough, delicious!!

And yesterday I tried something completely new: pumpkin matcha latte!! Just add 5 teaspoons pumpkin puree to your matcha latte. But be warned: you really have to like both flavors, as they mix here and are both kind of strong 😉

Wie habt ihr euren Matcha am liebsten? Schönen Sonntag wünsch ich euch!!!
How do you like your matcha? Have a great sunday everyone!!
